In addition, the campaign also encourages the food industry, including farmers, manufacturers, distributors, and food establishments, to include healthier food options. ![]() Education camps are organized where people may learn how to read nutrition charts to determine if the food item is good for them or not. Various observations of the month-long campaign help people differentiate between healthy and unhealthy foods for better food choices. Nutrition Month Philippines is a public campaign, meaning every person in the Philippines is welcome to participate. Schools and workplaces also join in on the celebration to spread awareness and educate members on the steps they can take to make their diets healthier. Elected representatives, community heads, and citizens participate in the celebrations with equal enthusiasm. Every year, the celebrations have different themes to focus on the new and unique challenges of nutrition in the country.
